Which AI apps work

BuzzRolls Studio needs an AI that works on your computer: it runs commands, installs the plugin, and drives Premiere Pro.

Works

  • ChatGPT Codex

    Recommended. The easiest setup.

    Get Codex

  • Claude Code

    The Code tab in the Claude Desktop app, or Claude in a terminal. Needs a paid Claude plan.

  • ChatGPT Work

    ChatGPT working with the files and apps on your computer.

  • Other AI coding agents

    Cursor, Google Antigravity, GitHub Copilot and others, if they can run commands and connect to MCP servers.

Limited

  • Claude Cowork

    Its sandbox blocks parts of setup and some BuzzRolls tools. Use the Code tab in the same app instead.

Won't work

  • chatgpt.com

    Or a regular chat in the ChatGPT app.

  • claude.ai

    Or the Chat tab in the Claude app.

These live in your browser. They can't reach apps on your computer, so they can't install anything or drive Premiere Pro.
