Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 28, 2026
BuzzRolls ("we," "us," or "our") operates the BuzzRolls plugin for Adobe Premiere Pro and the website at buzzrolls.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our services.
By using BuzzRolls, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, please see the section on your rights under GDPR below.
Age Requirement
You must be at least 16 years old to use BuzzRolls. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 16. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a person under 16, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.
Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create a BuzzRolls account, we collect your email address and password. Your password is stored in encrypted form. We do not collect your name, address, or phone number unless you voluntarily provide it (for example, in a support request).
Payment Information
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number, expiration date, or CVC on our servers. Stripe handles all payment data in accordance with PCI-DSS standards. We receive and store only a transaction identifier, your subscription status, and billing history from Stripe. For more information, see Stripe's privacy policy.
Video and Audio Data
When you use BuzzRolls, we process a transcript of the audio from the portion of your video where you request b-roll. This transcript is used to understand the content of your video so that our AI can search for and select relevant stock footage.
If a transcript is not available, BuzzRolls exports a short audio clip (MP3) from the relevant portion of your video and sends it to Google's Gemini API for analysis. This audio clip is used solely to understand the content of your video for the purpose of selecting appropriate b-roll. We do not retain these audio clips on our servers after processing is complete. Google's use of data sent to the Gemini API is governed by Google's privacy policy and API terms of service.
We store transcripts generated from your video in association with your account. Transcripts are retained indefinitely unless you request deletion (see Your Rights below).
We do not access, upload, copy, or store your full video or audio files. Video and audio processing occurs locally within Adobe Premiere Pro on your device. Only the generated transcript text or short audio clips necessary for b-roll selection are transmitted to our servers or third-party APIs.
Usage Data
We collect general information about how you use BuzzRolls, including the types of searches you perform, the number of b-roll clips inserted, and the types of content you are editing. We use this data in aggregate to understand our most common use cases and to improve BuzzRolls for those workflows.
Analytics Data
We use Google Analytics and Umami to collect standard analytics data when you visit our website. This may include your IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, referring URL, and time spent on pages. This data helps us understand how visitors use our website.
Cookies
We use cookies for authentication (keeping you logged in) and for analytics purposes through Google Analytics and Umami. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but this may affect your ability to use BuzzRolls.
