Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 30, 2026
BuzzRolls ("we," "us," or "our") operates BuzzRolls Studio, our AI editing harness for Adobe Premiere Pro, and the website at buzzrolls.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our services.
By using BuzzRolls, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, please see the section on your rights under GDPR below.
How BuzzRolls Studio Works
BuzzRolls Studio connects three parts: a plugin that runs inside Adobe Premiere Pro on your computer, our cloud service that exposes editing tools and handles tasks that run outside Premiere Pro (such as transcription and stock-footage delivery), and an AI agent that you provide and connect (for example Claude Code or ChatGPT Codex). Your AI agent directs the editing by calling tools on our cloud service, which in turn instructs the plugin to act on your Premiere Pro project. Understanding this flow helps explain what data we receive and why.
The Studio plugin does not give an AI agent general control of your computer. It provides a limited interface to supported BuzzRolls tools for Adobe Premiere Pro. Your chosen AI agent may have its own permissions outside BuzzRolls, which are controlled by that provider and by you.
Age Requirement
You must be at least 16 years old to use BuzzRolls. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 16. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a person under 16, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.
Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create a BuzzRolls account, we collect your email address and password. Your password is stored in encrypted form. We do not collect your name, address, or phone number unless you voluntarily provide it (for example, in a support request).
Payment Information
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number, expiration date, or CVC on our servers. Stripe handles all payment data in accordance with PCI-DSS standards. We receive and store only a transaction identifier, your subscription status, and billing history from Stripe. For more information, see Stripe's privacy policy.
Tool-Call and Activity Data
As your AI agent uses BuzzRolls Studio, our cloud service receives and logs the tool calls made on your behalf. This includes which tools were called, non-content parameters, the results and any errors returned, timestamps, and session information, all associated with your account. We do not include source video, audio, transcript text, or exported frames in these stored activity logs.
We collect, store, and retain these non-content activity logs and may review and analyze them to operate, bill, support, secure, debug, and improve the Service, detect and prevent abuse, and comply with applicable law.
Video and Audio Data
BuzzRolls never uploads your source video files. Some features may use a transcript that already exists on your computer or extract only the audio and send it to a third-party transcription provider (currently AssemblyAI) to create a transcript. BuzzRolls processes that audio or transcript only while completing the task you requested. We do not store it, our staff cannot view it, and we do not use it to train AI models.
BuzzRolls does not upload or store frames exported by the plugin. Your connected AI provider may read or process those frames under its own permissions, privacy policy, and terms. Files that BuzzRolls downloads for you, such as stock footage, are separate from your source media and are delivered to your computer as part of the feature you requested.
Data Sent to Your AI Agent
Because BuzzRolls Studio is driven by an AI agent that you provide and connect (such as Claude Code from Anthropic or ChatGPT Codex from OpenAI), your prompts and the contents of tool calls are also handled by that AI provider. We do not control how your chosen AI provider collects, uses, or retains that data. Its handling is governed by that provider's own privacy policy and terms, which you should review.
Workflow Fit Requests
When you use the Workflow Fit Checker and select ChatGPT or Claude, we store the Premiere Pro task you submitted, the provider you selected, the submission time, the landing page, referrer and campaign attribution when present, an anonymous browser session identifier, and your BuzzRolls user ID if you are signed in. We use these requests to understand the workflows visitors need and to improve BuzzRolls.
Your task and our current capability summary are included in a prefilled prompt sent to the provider you select. We do not receive or store the provider's answer or the resulting external conversation. The provider's handling of the prompt is governed by its own privacy policy and terms.
Website Analytics and Behavioral Data
We use, and may in the future use, analytics, product analytics, session replay, and heatmap services to understand how visitors find and use our website. Depending on the service, this may include your IP address (which some providers truncate or discard), the approximate location derived from it, your browser, device type, operating system, screen size and language, the referring URL, the search terms and campaign parameters that brought you to us, the pages you view and the order you view them in, how long you stay, how far you scroll, how much of an embedded video you watch, the links and buttons you click, your mouse movements, taps and scrolling, your interactions with forms (including which fields you start, complete, or abandon and whether you ultimately submit), the errors you encounter, and a pseudonymous identifier that lets us recognize a returning browser or group activity into a session.
Some of these services can record and replay a reconstruction of your visit so that we can see where visitors get stuck. Where we use such a service, we configure it to mask text typed into form fields, but we cannot guarantee that every field on every page is masked, and you should not enter sensitive information into fields that do not ask for it.
We may combine this data with your account, subscription, and billing information in order to build conversion funnels, measure where visitors drop off, attribute signups and purchases to the channel, campaign, ad, or content that produced them, run A/B and other experiments, and measure and improve our website, our marketing, and the Service.
Advertising and Conversion Measurement
We advertise BuzzRolls on third-party platforms, and we use those platforms' tags, pixels, SDKs, cookies, and similar technologies on our website to measure and improve those campaigns. We currently work with Google (Google Ads and Google Analytics). We may add other advertising, social media, and measurement platforms in the future, including Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Microsoft, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, Reddit, and similar networks, without separately notifying you each time.
These technologies let us and our advertising partners:
- Record conversion events, meaning actions we treat as valuable, such as submitting a form, starting a signup, creating an account, beginning a checkout, purchasing or upgrading a subscription, downloading the plugin, watching some or all of a video, or reaching a particular page or step
- Attribute those conversions to the ad, campaign, keyword, placement, creative, or referring site that brought you to us, including across multiple visits, sessions, and devices
- Show you BuzzRolls ads on other websites, apps, and platforms after you visit us, which is commonly called remarketing or retargeting
- Build and use audiences of people who did or did not take particular actions on our site, and find new audiences that resemble them
- Measure, model, and optimize the performance and cost of our advertising, including through automated bidding and conversion modeling performed by the advertising platform
To make this measurement more accurate, we may send advertising and measurement partners identifiers associated with you. These can include cookie, device, and advertising identifiers, click identifiers such as a Google click ID, your IP address and user agent, and hashed or otherwise obfuscated versions of information you gave us, such as a hashed email address. Platforms offer these under names like enhanced conversions, conversions API, offline conversion import, and customer match. We may send conversion events to these partners from our servers rather than from your browser. Those partners may use the data they receive for their own purposes, in accordance with their own privacy policies and their agreements with us, including to improve their advertising and measurement systems.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
We and our providers use cookies, pixels, tags, web beacons, SDKs, local storage, session storage, and similar technologies on our website. We use them for strictly necessary purposes such as authentication (keeping you logged in), security, and routing, and also for analytics, session replay, personalization, conversion measurement, and advertising as described above. Some are set by us and some are set by third parties on our behalf. Some expire when you close your browser and others persist across sessions and across sites.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, use private browsing, or use a tracking-prevention or ad-blocking extension. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in and using BuzzRolls. See Your Advertising and Tracking Choices below for additional opt-outs.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and operate BuzzRolls Studio and our website
- Process your subscription, credits, and payments
- Route extracted audio for transcription, or process an existing transcript in memory, to perform the task you request without storing that content
- Review tool-call and activity logs to detect and fix errors, identify gaps in functionality, and improve the Service
- Evaluate, debug, develop, and improve our systems, prompts, tools, and features using non-content activity data, submitted workflow requests, and feedback
- Analyze submitted workflow fit requests to understand visitor needs and prioritize product improvements
- Measure how visitors move through our website, identify where they drop off, and improve the design, copy, and flow of our pages
- Measure and attribute conversions, evaluate the performance of our marketing channels and campaigns, and decide where to spend our advertising budget
- Deliver, target, personalize, and measure advertising for BuzzRolls on third-party platforms, including remarketing to people who have visited our website and building similar audiences
- Communicate with you about your account, support requests, and product updates
- Detect and prevent abuse or unauthorized use of our services
- For any other purpose disclosed to you at the time of collection or otherwise permitted by applicable law
How We Do NOT Use Your Information
The commitments in this section describe how BuzzRolls handles your information. They do not describe how your chosen AI provider handles information it receives under its own permissions, privacy policy, and terms.
- We do not upload or store your source video files, audio, transcripts, or exported frames.
- We do not use your source video, audio, transcripts, exported frames, or Premiere Pro project contents to train AI models.
- We do not sell or rent your video content, transcripts, media files, or tool-call data.
- We do not use the contents of your Premiere Pro projects, your media, your transcripts, or your tool-call data to target advertising, and we do not send them to advertising platforms.
- We do not provide your email address in unhashed form to advertising platforms so that they can market their own products to you.
We do use website and marketing data, including data collected through cookies and advertising technologies, for advertising, remarketing, audience building, and conversion measurement, as described in "Advertising and Conversion Measurement" above. Under California and certain other United States state privacy laws, some of that activity may be treated as a "sale" or as "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. See Your Advertising and Tracking Choices and the United States state privacy rights section below.
Third-Party Services
We share data with the following third-party services only as necessary to operate BuzzRolls:
- Stripe processes your payments. They receive your payment information directly.
- Supabase provides our database and backend infrastructure, which it runs on third-party cloud providers. Your account data, tool-call logs, and submitted workflow fit requests are stored there.
- AssemblyAI transcribes audio extracted from your video. Audio is sent to AssemblyAI only to create the transcript requested by the feature. BuzzRolls does not store the audio or resulting transcript. AssemblyAI's handling of that temporary processing is governed by its privacy policy and terms.
- Google Gemini API may process transcript content for certain features. BuzzRolls does not send source video files or visual excerpts to Gemini and does not store the transcript. Google's handling of that temporary processing is governed by its privacy policy and API terms.
- Your AI provider (for example Anthropic or OpenAI, depending on the AI agent you connect) receives your prompts and tool-call contents in order to drive the editing. Their handling of that data is governed by their own terms.
- Pexels provides stock footage. When BuzzRolls searches for footage, search queries derived from your video content are sent to the Pexels API.
- Vercel hosts our website and processes request data, including IP addresses, in order to serve it.
- Google provides Google Analytics and Google Ads. Google receives website usage data, conversion events, and the identifiers described above, and may use that data in accordance with its own policies.
- Umami provides cookieless, privacy-focused website analytics.
- Advertising and social media platforms that we use now or may use in the future, such as Meta, Microsoft, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, and Reddit, receive conversion, audience, and measurement data as described above.
We may add, remove, or replace stock footage providers, analytics providers, advertising and measurement platforms, and other service providers at any time. Where a new provider receives audio or transcript content, we will update this policy accordingly.
Data Storage and Security
Account data, non-content activity logs, and submitted workflow fit requests are stored through Supabase, which runs on third-party cloud infrastructure. Source video, audio, transcripts, and exported frames are not stored there. We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encryption of data in transit (TLS) and encrypted password storage. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Data Retention
We do not retain source video, audio, transcripts, or exported frames. We retain account data, non-content activity logs, submitted workflow fit requests, and other information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate, bill, support, secure, debug, and improve the Service, protect our legitimate business interests, or comply with applicable law. Payment records are retained as required for accounting and legal purposes, and analytics data is retained according to the default retention periods of the relevant analytics providers.
If you wish to delete your account, contact us at the email address listed below. We will take reasonable steps to delete personal information that we are not required or permitted to retain, within a reasonable period, except where retention is necessary for our legitimate business purposes, to resolve disputes, to enforce our agreements, or as required by applicable law.
Your Rights
Regardless of your location, you may:
- Request access to the personal data we hold about you
- Request deletion of your personal data by contacting us
- Request correction of inaccurate personal data
- Export your data in a portable format upon request
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email address listed below.
Your Advertising and Tracking Choices
In addition to your browser's cookie controls, you can limit analytics and advertising tracking in the following ways:
- Install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on
- Manage the ads you see from Google at My Ad Center
- Use the industry opt-out pages operated by the Digital Advertising Alliance, the Network Advertising Initiative, or, in Europe, Your Online Choices
- Adjust your ad preferences directly with a platform, for example through Meta's ad preferences settings or Microsoft's privacy dashboard
- Email us at info@buzzrolls.com to ask us to opt you out of the sale or sharing of your personal information and of targeted advertising
Some browsers and extensions transmit a Global Privacy Control signal. Where required by applicable law, we treat that signal as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for that browser. Opting out of targeted advertising does not stop you from seeing ads, and it does not affect analytics we perform for strictly necessary or internal purposes. Because opt-outs are stored per browser and per device, you will need to repeat them if you clear your cookies or switch browsers.
Additional Rights for EEA, UK, and Swiss Residents (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):
- Legal basis for processing: We process your personal data based on contractual necessity (to provide the BuzzRolls service you subscribed to), legitimate interest (to operate, secure, debug, and improve our service and prevent abuse), and consent (for non-essential analytics, session replay, advertising, and conversion-measurement cookies and similar technologies). Where we rely on consent, we obtain it before setting those technologies to the extent required by applicable law, and you may withdraw it at any time.
- Right to restrict processing: You may request that we restrict how we process your data in certain circumstances.
- Right to object: You may object to our processing of your data based on legitimate interests.
- Right to withdraw consent: Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time.
- Right to lodge a complaint: You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
We do not engage in automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal effects concerning you.
Additional Rights for United States State Residents
If you are a resident of California or another United States state with a comprehensive privacy law, you may have the right to know or access the personal information we collect about you, to request its deletion, to request correction of inaccurate information, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information and of targeted advertising, all without being discriminated against for exercising those rights.
As described above, our use of analytics and advertising technologies may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, or the use of personal information for "targeted advertising" or "cross-context behavioral advertising," under these laws. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16. You may exercise your opt-out and other rights through the methods described in Your Advertising and Tracking Choices or by contacting us at the email address below. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf, and we may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
Data Transfers
Your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States, where our servers are hosted. If you are located in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses and other appropriate safeguards for these transfers.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on our website and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of BuzzRolls after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
